Human Resources Manager – HR Manager

Trans Ash, Inc., a Lockland based Civil Contractor, has an immediate need for a Human Resources Manager.

The Human Resources Manager will become a member of our management team. This person will provide leadership to the management team and will ensure human resources objectives are aligned with strategic business goals through effective employee relations and organizational development strategies. This leader is expected to create vision and ensure compliance to employment laws. This person will communicate, administer and implement all corporate human resources policies.

Position Responsibilities

●Direct, develop and mentor a staff of HR professionals.

●Oversee maintenance and entry of HR and payroll information to ensure accuracy.

●Ensure compliance with all EEOC, ADA, and other federal, state, local, and company regulations and guidelines

●Manage the recruitment and hiring process, including new hire on-boarding.

●Manage benefits administration and effectively respond to any benefit related concerns.

●Ensure proper administration of annual performance reviews, merit increases and incentive payouts to create a culture of empowerment and accountability.

●Assist managers with progressive discipline and the termination process to ensure all employees are treated fairly and with respect.

●Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

●Work with EHS Director to manage and monitor workers' compensation claims. Provide guidance on Return-to-Work (RTW) cases.

●Work with managers to resolve cases and reduce duration of time away from work.

●Administer company benefits program, including, but not limited to: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-term and Long-term Disability and 401(k) Plan.

●Lead healthcare renewals and manage healthcare education and costs.

●Continually review benefit plans offered by the company and offered in the marketplace to make adjustments as opportunities arise.

●Train and develop HR generalists and other HR clerical staff.

●Work with site management to train staff on HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

●Maintain knowledge of industry trends and changes impacting the HR field.

Requirements

Skills/ Experience Requirements:

Education / Experience / Certification

● Minimum of 5 years' progressive HR experience in a HR management role

● BA/BS degree in Human Resources or similar discipline

● PHR or SHRM-CP certification

● Strong initiative and self-directed

● Strong management and leadership skills

● Very strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Highest level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.

● Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or concerns.

● Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using wise judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation and/or law.

● Ability to motivate and positively influence others, including skills at mentoring, coaching, and training.

●Perform all other related duties as assigned

● Manufacturing or Construction experience strongly preferred
